Tuscany enchants us today because it holds a special link between traditions of the past and present. Villa Casagrande, a wine-producing villa constructed in 1392, will serve as our host for six nights. We will find ourselves strolling down quiet lanes bound by stone walls, cypress trees and cream-colored villas. A true Tuscan Experience!

Itinerary

Day	Destination	Description
Day 1	Depart USA	U.S. - Florence : Depart U.S. for our overnight flight to Florence, Italy. Dinner will be served on board.
Day 2	Florence	Tuscany - Tuscan Feast : Morning arrival into Florence (pick-up at 12:30 p.m.) We are met by our driver and enjoy a short panoramic tour of Pisa and a short stop to see Piazza dei Miracoli and take a picture of the world famous Leaning Tower before being transferred to our Tuscan Villa-Villa Casagrande. Here we will enjoy a 6 night stay. This evening we will have a welcome "Tuscan Feast" featuring local wines and traditional Tuscan fare. Buon Appetito! Overnight at the Villa.
Day 3	Tuscany	Tuscany - Wine Tasting : After breakfast at the Villa, the day is free to explore the wonderful town of Figline Valdarno. The Tuscany region of Italy offers breathtaking landscapes and a relaxed lifestyle where you can relax, relate and enjoy. The town, located in the heart of Chianti, is full of museums, cathedrals and historical buildings. It also hosts many colorful outdoor food markets. This afternoon at 5:30 pm, we will enjoy a wine tasting - with accompanying appetizers - featuring wine produced at the Villa. Dinner on our own tonight. Overnight at the Villa.
Day 4	Tuscany	Leisure Day in Tuscany or Optional Trip to Rome ($228 pp.) : Enjoy our day at leisure in Tuscany or choose to enjoy an optional tour of Rome, where you will embark on a full day excursion to the "eternal city," Rome. Enjoy a half-day guided tour of Rome including such landmarks as the Coliseum, St. Peter's Basilica and the Spanish Steps. After lunch on our own, our guided tour continues with a walking tour of the Roman Squares. Dinner at the Villa upon our return. Overnight at the Villa.
Day 5	Tuscany	Tuscany - Optional Cooking Class : After breakfast at the Villa enjoy a day at leisure. Visit the health center, rent bikes, go horseback riding, take a walk or visit the wine cellar and the museum at the Villa which has been host to popes and princes. Partake in an optional three hour "Tuscan Cooking Class" where you will learn the basics of traditional Tuscan cooking as well as savor the foods you have prepared. For individuals not purchasing the optional cooking class, dinner on our own. Overnight at the Villa.
Day 6	Tuscany	Tuscany - Florence Day Trip : After breakfast, we journey to Florence. Stroll down cobblestone lanes, through majestic squares and across ancient bridges, pausing along the way to visit and learn about Palazzo Vecchio, Piazza della Signoria, the Cathedral and Giotto's Bell Tower, and the Accademia. Florence offers the largest number of historical buildings and works of art in Italy, as well as several world-class museums. You might like to do a little leather, gold or clothes shopping near Ponte Vecchio. Dinner on our own. Overnight at the Villa.
Day 7	Tuscany	Tuscany : Optional tour of Siena & San Gimignano offered today or after breakfast at the Villa, the day is free to enjoy as you wish. Time for some last minute shopping or sightseeing. Tonight, enjoy a festive farewell dinner at the Villa.
Day 8	Return USA	Tuscany - U.S. : Morning transfer to the airport for our return flight home, taking with us the memories of the best of Italy. "Arrivederci" - a nostalgic goodbye with a promise to return.
